As well as preparing portraits for his own interest, the artist accepts commissions for drawings and oils. O’Connor works from life and the subject must be prepared to give a minimum of 12 sittings of approximately 2 hours each for a head painted in oils. Portraits are intensely personal so matters of size, costume, location, etc. must be negotiated with the client. A general guide to prices is as follows:

Oil portraits: (60 x 50cm head and shoulders) € 6.500, (80 x 70cm half body) € 9.000, (100 x 75cm 3/4 body) € 12.000.

Charcoal portraits: (60 x 50cm head and shoulders) € 2.000.

Monochrome studies in oils: (60 x 50 cm) € 3.500, (80 x 70 cm) € 4.000, (100 x 75 cm) € 5.000.
